Who We Are

Competing in the Sapphire and Ruby Series, the best netball competition in the state, USC Thunder is providing opportunities for local emerging-elite Netball athletes to compete at the highest level in their local environment.

Our Sapphire playing roster includes Sunshine Coast Lightning Training Partners, Queensland representative athletes and athletes identified for Australian representation.

Our underpinning Ruby team, as well as our 18U and 16U programs, provide a definitive player pathway for athletes in a developing and emerging capacity,  to have exposure and opportunities within the best programs in the State whilst they continue to enjoy the sport they love and ultimately lay the foundations early for successful netball careers.

The USC Thunder family is committed to delivering 400+ hours in the community each year to foster and encourage participation at the grass-roots and developing levels with a goal of encouraging the aspiring athletes to keep active and work hard toward their netball goals.

Thunder is a club that values our community connections, as well as unity, hard-work, and respect within our environment.
